Who's the Fairest of Them All? Create Your Own Fairytale Mirror

Admit it. We’ve all done it at least once. Eyebrows arched, deep voiced … knowing the answer before we ask our mirror that eternal question. Now, we say, make your own looking glass with the exact answer you want it to give. A Halloween Décor must have for the most beautiful you.

Materials :

  • A Shadow box

  • 2 Xeroxed copies of the same face

  • Midnight blue and silver spray paint

Tools :

  • Masking tape

  • Spray glue

  • Scissors

Instructions:

1. Cut out the image of the face.
2. Take the front glass off of the shadow box and position the face in the center of the backing board.

3. Take the image and spray the back side with glue, and place it back where you liked it. Smooth it out.

4. Tape the second image on the glass so that it lines up with the image on the back board.

5. Spray paint the whole glass with a light coating of blue. Do not go too heavy near the taped-on face image. Go heavy around the perimeter and in the corners.

6. Accent with a light spraying of silver spray paint all over for a touch of ‘mirror’ effect and let dry.
7. Peel off the face on the glass and put the box back together.

Hints:

Choose a photo that is looking straight on. If you use a spooky or intriguing expression you will have a better effect.
