Pumpkin Ice Bucket

There’s nothing like a nice, cold glass of sparkling wine to kick off a great party! Keep your bubbles chilled to perfection in this unique ice bucket. Hey, you’re still carving a pumpkin, right?

Materials :

  • Pumpkin

  • White spray paint

  • Set of drawer/cabinet handles

  • Set of plastic wall anchors

  • Serrated knife and spoon

  • Awl

Instructions :

  1. Spray the pumpkin white and allow it to dry completely.

  2. Carve off the top of the pumpkin, being mindful to create a hole that will be large enough to fill with ice and your bottle.

  3. Scoop out the insides. Try to get all of the seeds and stringy pumpkin flesh out, so that your bottle doesn’t end up sitting in murky, melted ice.

  4. Poke holes on opposite sides of the pumpkin using your awl. Be sure to ease it in gently to keep the “bucket” from splitting, and then position the anchors in the pre-poked holes.

  5. Screw in the handles, fill with ice, break out your bubbly, and chill it!
