This Halloween Make a Skeleton That'll Make 'Em Jump Right Out of Their Skin
Create a harrowing skeleton with a couple of branches, a styrofoam skull and lots of gauze? Now that sounds like fun!
Store-bought skeletons are mostly kind of cheesy and, let’s be honest, a little lame. They’re not particularly scary and severely lack in the personality department, which is why you should DIY your own.
Spending no more than you would on a store-bought skeleton (probably less), this guy will be standing on your front lawn in no time.
Materials:
Tree branches - one approximately 6’ and one approximately 3’
2 Skeleton hands with forearm attached
Styrofoam skull
Rhinestone Stickers
Gauze
Duct tape
Old towel- preferably white or grey
Tools:
Scissors
Wire snips
Hot glue gun
Utility knife/ serrated steak knife
Instructions:
1. Snip the rhinestone sticker to the shape of the skull’s tooth…
…and hot glue it into place in its smile.
2. Cut a hole in the bottom of the neck of the skeleton head to fit the tall tree branch…
…and impale the head on top.
3. Make a tall cross with the two branches and duct tape them together.
4. Tape the skeleton hands to the ends of the cross branch.
5. Wrap the towel as a torso and tape it in place.

6. Wrap the arms and torso loosely with gauze…
…wrapping gradually tighter around the base of the stick.
Now that’s a skeleton!
