Scoop Up This Cool Christmas Spoon Tree Idea

Here’s a fun way to take the humble plastic spoon and create a great piece of holiday décor with it! Who knew this throwaway utensil could create so much holiday cheer?

A styrofoam cone, a little fake snow and some hot glue is pretty much all it takes for this cool, on trend, craft.

Materials:

  • Plastic spoons

  • Styrofoam cone

  • Brown kraft paper

  • Straight pins

  • Spray tack

  • Glitter

  • Fake snow

  • Iredescent fake snow flakes

  • Ribbon and or ornament

Tools:

  • Scissors

  • Hot glue gun

Instructions:

1. Cut your spoons just above the neck.

2.Spray half the tips with spray tack and dip them in glitter. Allow them to dry.

3. Wrap your Styrofoam in kraft paper and secure it with straight pins.

4. Starting at the bottom glue the spoon heads around the base of the cone. Add in glittery spoons where you see fit.

5. Continue this all the way up the tree.

6. Spray the tree with tack and push tufts of fake snow into all the little crevices.

7. Sprinkle the tree with snow flakes.

8. For the perfect presentation, top the tree with a bow and an ornament and place it on top of a vase filled with glass marbles.
