Russian Artist Creates Most Hyperrealistic Dolls You’ve Ever Seen

Dolls are a funny thing. When not lifelike enough, they’ll leave even the easiest-to-please toddlers unimpressed. But if they’re too realistic, adults and children alike can find themselves too scared to sleep, thinking of Chucky-dotted nightmares and eyes that watch you while you snooze.

Michael Zajkov, a graduate of Russia’s Kuban State University, has a knack for making dolls in the latter category.

Zajkov’s dolls are, in fact, so immaculately detailed and lifelike that it’s hard to look at them without feeling a chill run down your spine.
