For crafter’s, a box full of fabric remnants is just a myriad of projects waiting to happen. Where any other person sees scraps, a true DIY fan knows his or her creativity can make curtains, gift wrap, or in this case, a tablecloth. This spring tablecloth is perhaps a more sophisticated use of fantastic fabric pieces, and one that will surely make any tabletop a gorgeous centerpiece.

Materials:

  • Assortment of purple fabric

  • Assortment of purple ribbon

  • 1 Tube clear-drying washable fabric glue

Tools:

  • Scissors

  • Ruler

Instructions:

  1. Measure the dimensions of the tabletop.

  2. Make the dimensions of the finished tablecloth 2 feet longer and wider than the tabletop.

  3. Tear the fabric into long strips the length of the tablecloth.

  4. Use fabric glue to adhere strips of fabric and ribbon together, each strip overlapping the previous.

  5. Cut the ends to make them as even as possible.
