Turn Old Crayons Into Something Really Fun

Don’t go out and buy an entirely new set of crayons! Create brand-new crayons from old pieces of crayons using this simple process. Your kids will love helping make these and will have so much fun coloring with them!

Materials:
Cutting Board
Knife
Crayons
Cookie Sheet
Aluminum Foil
Silicone Molds

1. Peel off all the crayon wrappers and separate them by color.

2. Chop each group up into quarter-inch pieces so they will fit nicely into the molds.

3. Add the chopped-up crayon pieces to the mold. Mix in different shades to give contrasting colors.

4. Bake the molds at the lowest setting it will go on your oven — around 150 degrees for 10 to 20 minutes. Make sure to check on the molds every few minutes.

5. Allow to fully cool in the molds after they have been removed from the oven.

6. Color!

Pro Tip:
Crayons are non-toxic, so no need to replace that knife or cutting board. Hot water is perfect.
