Pinterest Names the Top 100 DIY Trends for 2015
Pallet projects, hand lettering, indoor microgardens, and Pantone’s Color of the Year are all about to take off, predicts the Pinterest 100.
The social bookmarking site is pinning down its predictions for DIY trends for 2015 in a new list released Wednesday. DIYers will find plenty of inspiration, along with a few head-scratchers (will we all really be waterproofing our gadgets ourselves in the new year?).

Clever letterpress just makes everything ring a little truer, as this example courtesy of fromupnorth.com shows. You could just write it yourself with a Sharpie, but it wouldn’t be the same.
Pantone has picked Marsala as it’s 2015 Color of the Year. We know it isn’t for everyone, but you’re guaranteed to see it all over the place. Get some tips on how to pick a bold wall color that you won’t end up regretting.
This little vertical garden from camillestyles.com is adorable, useful, and it won’t take up too much space. Apartment dwellers, take note!
Make your own energy-saving wool dryer balls. This project from onegoodthing.com is so tempting, you might not want to wait until January 1 to try it out.
Gallery walls are a great way to showcase a big collection. Interiorcollective.com has tips on how to do it right.
