New Coloring Book for Stoners Encourages Oh-So-Mellow Creativity
In case you hadn’t noticed, coloring books for adults are all the rage at the moment. Time Magazine, CNN and scores of other national news outlets have gushed about the surprising health benefits and therapeutic qualities of this seemingly childish pastime.
Not one to miss an opportunity, Jared Hoffman is jumping on the bandwagon, only his coloring book is strictly for adults – 18+ only, to be specific.
The Coloring Book for Stoners is Hoffman’s contribution to the colorful world of adult meditation, and whether or not you partake, you have to admit, the idea is not entirely half-baked. It does have an intense air of relaxation about it.

The book is comprised of Hoffman’s own line drawings and the work of other artists who submitted their work to this clever entrepreneur. The result of this collaborative effort is funky, psychedelic and mind-bending – just what the overworked, stressed head needs to chill out.
Hoffman launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $6,420, so that mellow, munchie-fueled coloring can be a part of your life too (if you’re into that sort of thing). Once printing costs have been covered, the remaining funds will be doled out to the artists who contributed work to the project – proving yet again that all is fair in crayons and rolling papers.

“I would say my perfect coloring environment would be this: coloring while holding a blunt in my left hand, while sitting in a jacuzzi, with Seal singing ‘Kiss From a Rose’ barbershop quartet style just to the side.“
