Lanterns Light Up Halloween with This Mason Jar Mantel-Scape

We love a good Mason jar lantern when we see one, don’t you? Well, we’ve got a great one that’s just perfect for Halloween. All you need are Mason jars, spray paint and an assortment of Halloween stickers.

Though there’s certainly nothing wrong with the bright harvest colors this season has to offer, we like a little chic black now and again - it brings a certain eerie elegance to the frightful festivities.

Materials:

  • Mason jars

  • Stain spray paint in purple and red

  • Black spray paint

  • Halloween stickers and scrap book supplies

Instructions:

1. Starting with the purple stain, spray the inside of the jars, don’t worry about streaks.

2. Let sit for a few minutes and repeat. Do this twice.

3. Using the red spray paint, spray the inside of the jars, focusing the stream on the top of the jar so that it drips down the sides of the jar.

4. Take your stickers and scrap book materials, spray paint them black

5. Once they are dry decorate your jar to create a Halloween landscape

Repeat on multiple jars for a great “mantel-scape.”
