Infamous ‘Tom Brady Court Sketch’ Now a Delightful $35 Skirt

The now infamous Tom Brady courtroom sketch has caused so much media buzz that it nearly overshadowed the controversial ruling itself. Okay, that may be an exaggeration, but the public response to the widely panned sketch of Tom Brady has reached new heights. Online retailer RedBubble decided to put a sartorial twist on the matter and started selling skirts featuring the sketch for a budget-friendly $35.

The skirt’s design shows a zoomed-in view of Brady’s face. For extra emphasis, the print is emblazoned on both the front and the back. Viral Internet material has made the jump from laptops to closets.

Before the skirt arrived, however, there were plenty of other noteworthy examples of “fan art” responses to the Patriot’s unfortunate portrait. Photoshop mavens took it upon themselves to superimpose Tom Brady’s mug onto the likes of Mona Lisa, E.T., and Michael Jackson, to name a few.

Courtroom sketch artist Jane Rosenberg has unwittingly become the center of this deflate-gate kerfuffle. She made a statement to CBS Boston expressing her intention to seek legal action against retailers who are trying to make a profit from these unlicensed images.
