How To Pimp Your Ride for $3

Do you remember that show, Pimp My RIde? It was MTV’s answer to an extreme makeover show for car enthusiasts, and a guilty pleasure that had us all secretly wishing out cars had a home movie theater and a hot tub in the trunk.

As much as we wish we could, we can’t show you how to build a BBQ grill into your backseat (sigh…), but we can show you how to add a little flair to your bumper.

A little hot glue and some well chosen bling take your license plate frame from blah to bold in mere minutes. After all, when that guy behind you won’t get off your tail, you may as well give him something to look at.

Materials:

  • License plate frame

  • ‘Bling’ of choice in small pieces (i.e. rhinestones, artificial flowers, sea glass)

Tools:

  • Hot glue gun

Instructions:

1. Glue you chosen pieces all around your frame, being sure to use plenty of hot glue for a secure fix.

Hint: Be sure to use inexpensive elements as the natural wear and tear of a car is unpredictable and the pieces could eventually fall off.

Whether you like a little bling or a burst of fresh (plastic) flowers, you can customize your ride any way you like.
