Harry Potter

Though we’re no longer lining up at midnight in anticipation for a new movie or book, Pinterest-users find a way to keep Harry Potter alive in their hearts, mostly in the form of lists that “only Harry Potter geeks will understand” and cool, snitch-inspired jewelry. (Photo: Pinterest.com/etsy)

Small tattoos

Tattoos have been growing in popularity since Millennials became old enough to get inked. But for a generation known for its commitment-phobia, many want to be able to hide that sucker if need be. Lob hair

Alexa Chung’s iconic bob was the haircut of the year in 2015, so it’s no surprise that “lob hair” and “Alexa Chung Haircut” were among the top Pinterest searches. Even Jessica Alba, Kristen Bell and Beyoncé got in on the trend. (Photo: Pinterest via Blog Lovin’)

Men’s fashion

Proof that men have officially jumped on the Pinterest bandwagon and just don’t understand it the way girls do. Despite being one of the most popular searches on Pinterest, “men’s fashion” is just heavily searched, not saved or repined. This is probably because guys just find what they like, consider the task complete and then log off. Do they do it better? (Photo: Pinterest.com/buzzfeed)

Bohemian weddings

Women’s Wear Daily called the spring 2016 wedding trend “Bohemian Rhapsody,” as boho looks continue to rule the music and festival scene and aren’t going anywhere soon. Ethereal décor, chiffon layered dresses and free-spirited atmospheres were the most sought after sub-searches. (Photo: Pinterest via adornmagazine.com)

Scandinavian interiors

The Scandinavian décor trends have been all the rage in Europe throughout 2015, and of course IKEA rules many a 20-something’s home. We’ll see even more in the U.S. this coming year.
