Hilarious In-Store Reviews Latest in IKEA Trolling Trend
It seems that the latest international trend in IKEA hacking isn’t about customizing furniture, it’s about making your day. And the newest IKEA troll in the game is no exception.
In Australia we saw Simon drive Donna crazy with horrible IKEA-themed puns; an IKEA visitor in Denmark used his IKEA pencil to make 30 graphic (non-IKEA-approved) additions to the store; and now back home in the United States, we have our very own IKEA troll. Sports fans, joining the international prank-off is Jeff Wysaski, who is leaving bizarre fake reviews on IKEA products and is holding his own.
Of course, Wysaski isn’t a complete stranger. You may know this Internet comedian from his website Pleated Jeans and recognize him from a recent prank involving a doctor’s waiting room and a disease named after a current presidential candidate.
Public artist? Vandal? Yuppie Banksy? Only history will decide, and with stores in 27 countries, who knows where an IKEA prank-off competitor will pop up next?
