How to DIY Halloween Candy That's Just Naughty Enough
Halloween can do a number on your kids! All those artificial preservatives, the corn syrup and overwhelming amounts of sugar can leave them bouncing off the ceiling for days to come. And after the high? The cranky crash.
Though we don’t suggest depriving anyone of their Halloween sugar fix, we do have a few sweet ideas, especially for the little ones, that’ll keep ‘em from going into a serious sugar-coma.
You’ll thank us on November 1st.
Grape Marshmallow Worms
These grape worms are creepy-crawly sweetness. Alternating grapes with marshmallows is a slightly healthier compromise with your little ones. For every bite of sweet, they get a bite of fruit too!
Ingredients:
Grapes
Mini Marshmallows
Skewers
White Decorating Frosting
Mini Chocolate Chips
Tools:
Wooden Skewers
Instructions:
1. Alternate skewering grapes and marshmallows, starting and ending with a grape on each end of the skewer.
2. Make two little eyes with dots of frosting on the last grape at one end of the skewer.
3. Finish by adding a mini chocolate chip to the frosting dots, to serve as pupils.
Mini Candy Apples
