Encasing the sparkly stuff in glossy Mod Podge, a glue-y substance that dries clear and shiny, is a great way to achieve a little razzle-dazzle without driving yourself crazy picking individual sparkles off your forehead for hours and hours before bedtime. You can pick up a container of Mod Podge at Michael’s for $8 - it’s great to have on hand any time you need to get yourself into a sticky situation.

Materials:

  • Scissors

  • Glitter

  • Mod Podge (gloss finish)

Tools:

  • Foam Brush

  • Glass or jar

Instructions:

1. Using a foam brush, apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to the handle of your scissors.

2. Sprinkle a layer of glitter onto the glue covered handle. We suggest doing this over a trash can, so the glitter doesn’t get everywhere. Be sure to cover the entire handle.

3. Stand the scissors in a glass or jar and allow the glue to dry.

4. Repeat steps 1 and 2, until you have a completely covered handle. When the glue dries, you will be able to see if there are any ‘glitter-less’ spots.
