Flag This Idea for Your Easter Brunch

by Amanda Kingloff

If any entertaining event calls for place cards, it’s holiday meals. But after all of the cooking and flower arranging and cleaning of the house, the last thing that a hostess has time to do is create place cards.

Keep it simple and elegant with just a few materials—these cute Easter egg flag place cards will take just a few minutes!

What you’ll need:

  • Eggs

  • Scissors

  • Toothpicks

  • Washi tape, various widths

  • Thin Sharpie

Make It:

  1. Tear off a 3-inch piece of washi tape and wrap it around the end of a toothpick. Cut the end to look like a little flag

  2. Write guests’ names on the washi tape flags.

  3. Pull off a 4-inch piece of washi tape and wrap it around the other end of the toothpick and the center of the egg, attaching the flag to the egg.

  4. Layer thinner tapes on top of center band to add a striped effect.

**Don’t put those pretty washi tape rolls away! Use them to stand the eggs up on your guests’ plates!
