DIY Shamrock Shake with a Twist is Even Better than the Real Thing

DIY Shamrock Shake with a Twist is Even Better than the Real Thing

There are two ways to our hearts here at Yahoo Makers - both of them guilty (but oh-so-good) pleasures. Ladies and gentlemen, the Shamrock Shake and the Mocha Frappuccino.

The green, minty goodness is a McDonald’s classic and a surefire sign that spring has arrived. With its combination of mint flavor, ice cream and green food coloring, the Shamrock shake has McDonald’s customers eagerly awaiting its arrival every year.

Equally delicious, and a Starbucks mainstay, the Mocha Frappuccino is a decadent plastic cup of blended, chocolatey goodness that has a caffeine kick and a hearty swirl of sweetened whipped cream on top.

We suggest a marriage between these two good looking, great tasting individuals! You just can’t go wrong when you combine mint chocolate chip ice cream, espresso and chocolate syrup - not to mention a touch of sweetened condensed milk.

Not that this uber-decadent concoction needs anything else, but a dash of Irish Whiskey will do just the trick, if you’re looking to get that St. Paddy’s day party started. Yum!
