Did You Know Your Home Has a Horoscope?

Horoscopes aren’t limited to people, in fact, believe it or not, your home has its very own place on the astrological chart. Yes, it’s true. The four walls within which you lead your life, are ruled by the planets as much as you are. More precisely, you and your position in the universe determine the planetary lines on which your home, and the rooms within it, fall.

The principle is called Local Space Astrology, and can determine how you decorate and design your home, as well as how you feel within it. Chances are, whether you’re thriving or sinking in your living environment, has a lot to do with the directional pull of the planets on your home.

The first step in determining your home’s horoscope, is to have your own Local Space Chart made. This chart is based on the location of the sun, moon and several other planets at the time of your birth. These charts are made by professional astrologists, and there are numerous resources available online, so getting started is pretty straight-forward.

Once this chart is created, the idea is to lay it over the floor plan of your home. The chart looks like a circle divided by lines running straight through it - these lines are planet lines.

When you lay the local space chart on top of your floor plan, you’ll see what planet lines the rooms in your home fall on and determining this, is the key to understanding your home’s horoscope.

As each planet has its own temperament and embodying characteristics, so will the room that falls within its path. For example, the Moon is known to embody the emotional, the feminine and our ties to memory and family. If your home finds the kitchen in the moon’s path, you may find that your connection to food and nourishment is directly attached to your emotions and your mood.

On the other hand, if you find the moon’s line crossing paths with a room that seems devoid of emotion, family and the feminine, Local Space Astrology suggests that you incorporate those elements into that room for a more harmonious and peaceful environment. If your guest room is in the path of the moon, it may be a good idea to incorporate family photos and mementos that trigger fond memories spent together. When your room is in harmony with the planet line it crosses, that room will feel better and you will flourish within it.
