D.C. Museum Transformed Into Amazing ‘Beach’

Sunshine. Sand. Waves. These are the images that splash through your brain when you think of a beach trip. Brooklyn-based studio Snarkitecture is on a whole different “wave”-length. Their latest installation, “The Beach,” transforms the Great Hall of Washington D.C.’s National Building Museum into a ball pit, where you can “swim” in an ocean of nearly one million translucent plastic balls. Oh, and the project even offers something you won’t get at real beaches in the middle of July: air conditioning!
