Custom Bikes Inspired By Famous Art By Claude Monet and Frank Stella

In honor of its 100th anniversary, the Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA) is celebrating three of its favorite works of art with specially made bicycles. (And you thought your upcycled bike was cool!)

The art museum teamed up with Handsome Cycles, a local bike shop, which had the remarkable task of bringing to life the very different styles by artists Hans Ledwinka, Claude Monet and Frank Stella.

According to Design Milk, the bikes are not for sale, however the two companies did collaborate on commemorative bikes in black or white to benefit MIA. They’re not nearly as colorful, but it’s a very stylish way to support the arts.
