Bewitch Your Guests This Halloween with These Enchanting Witch's Hat Place Cards

A successful dinner party is all about placement - the placement of your guests, that is! It’s important to seat people with those they’ll get along with the best - the people that will spark conversation and keep the evening lively and entertaining. This is just as important on Halloween as it is on any other night of the year, and place cards are the key to success in this endeavor.

A Halloween dinner party warrants a special place card, however, and these burlap witch’s hats fit the bill perfectly. They’re quick and inexpensive to make, and add a real touch of spook to your dinner table.

Now, witch seat are you in?

Materials:

  • Burlap

  • Toothpicks

  • Mod Pod

  • Paper

  • Sharpie

Tools:

  • Bowl

  • Scissors

Instructions:

1. Cut burlap into circles.

2. Wrap the circles into cones and secure them with toothpicks.

3. Fill a bowl with an ample amount of Mod Pod, diluted slightly with a tablespoon or two of water, and dip the hats into the glue, covering them thoroughly.

4. Shape the hats into very pointy and smushed witch’s hats.

5. Cut circles of paper and write names on front sides, around the edge of the circles.

6. Attach the papers, name portion showing, to the unfolded brims of the hats, and stuff the rest of the paper circles inside.
