How to Make Your Own DIY Ice Rink for $150

An arctic blast has blanketed most of the country and while many are digging themselves out the snow and staying indoors, Jerry Wade found the perfect opportunity to create his own backyard ice rink. While it’s not one of the easiest DIY projects, Wade was able to complete his ice rink in only eight hours over the course of two weeks and spent less than $150. Wade told us it was his first time building a backyard rink, but says this won’t be his last — he plans on making it 40x40 next year. To become the most popular house in the neighborhood this winter, follow these 10 steps for a DIY ice rink.
