7 Impossibly Small Artworks Hidden Around London

British artist Slinkachu’s new exhibit may have just opened at the Andipa Gallery in London, but fans know that his work is best viewed in their natural setting: the city streets. His work is a fun, quirky collection of miniature figures that are placed in various scenarios throughout the city. To add to the fun, Slinkachu explains on his Tumblr profile that he doesn’t keep the miniature figures but rather chooses to “leave them on the streets to be found by the lucky few – or to be lost forever.”

May the treasure hunt begin. But before you decide to roam the streets of London to claim one of these pieces for as own, take a look at the scale of these figures. Comparing the close up shot to the wide angle demonstrates just how miniscule the set up is. Should you be determined to track down an original Slinkachu, be prepared to scour the city.

Entitled “The Little People Project,” the series of installations that Slinkachu created, in a way, helps you view the beauty of the city from a different perspective. The artist tells Cool Hunting, “I hope they take away more of an appreciation for their surroundings and perhaps try to look for beauty where they might not have looked before.”

Slinkachu has three books containing photographs of his work. His newest release, “Global Model Village,” is now available for purchase and his exhibit at the Andipa Gallery runs from March 13-April 11.
