3 Ways to Wrap Up Your Holiday Buffet

Use boxes and candles to give the gift of festive decor.

Supplies:

  • Assorted Pre-Made Boxes

  • Taper Candles

  • Ribbon

  • Oasis

  • Moss

  • Flower Of Your Choice

  • Adhesive Letters

Tools

  • Craft Knife

Getting Started

For The Candle Holder:

  1.         Take a sturdy box and cut an “X” in the center of the top.

  2.       Make your “X” approximately the diameter of your candle.

  3.       Push your candle into place.

  4.       To add detail cut your ribbon large enough to fit around your box.

  5.       Tuck the tails of the ribbon into the top of your box, repeat going the opposite direction.

  6.       Tie a ribbon in a bow snuggly around the candle at the top of your box.

Hints & Clues:

Sometimes to really penetrate the “X” you need to pierce both the inside and outside of the box.

For The Topiary:

  1. Take a cake stand and pile up a few of your boxes from largest to smallest.

  2. Take various monochromatic ribbons in different textures and tie around each side of your boxes to add a dramatic and festive display, finish by adding bows at the top.

 

For The Place Cards:

  1. Take a small hard sided craft box, set aside.

  2. Add a small piece of oasis into the bottom of your craft box.

  3. Top with damp sheet moss.

  4. Cut a flower head about an inch down from the head.

  5. Drive the stem into the moss.

  6. Attach an adhesive letter on the top of the box to act a place card.
