October, November, and December have us indulging in all things holiday! From cocktail parties to decadent dinner parties, our bodies are put through the wringer.

Here are three detox smoothies to start the year off right.

Powerhouse Detox

Want to start your day of with a powerful jolt of energy? Well, this smoothie’s for you.

Spinach is high in vitamins A, C, E, and K, calcium, protein, and iron, and it contributes to bone, hair, and skin health. Pair that with coconut milk and oil — which are great sources of energy and have cholesterol-lowering properties — and chia seeds, which are high in omega-3 fatty acids, and you’re looking at a good morning.

  • 1 cup coconut milk

  • Handful of spinach

  • 1 cup dark cherries, frozen

  • ½ banana

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

  • ½ cup green tea

  • 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and chopped

  • ½ cucumber

1. Combine all ingredients in a blender, starting with the coconut milk.

2. Blend on high until completely smooth.

3. Enjoy for breakfast to get the day started right!

Antioxidant Punch

Feeling like you’re running on empty? Maybe you have a tickle in your throat? Beat the blahs with a powerful burst of antioxidants.

Blueberries are extremely nutrient-dense, providing a great source of fiber, vitamin C and vitamin K, as well as being one of the greatest sources of antioxidants in common fruits and vegetables.

We like to add them to protein-rich Greek yogurt, electrolyte-dense coconut water, and a fresh burst of lemon.

  • ½ banana

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt

  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

  • ½ cup coconut water

1. Combine all ingredients in a blender.

2. Blend on high until completely smooth.
