$1,000 for Louboutins? DIY Your Own, Instead

image

There is something about the red soles of a pair of Louboutins that makes us crave them. They’re just the right balance of sexy and elegant, and with everyone from Victoria Beckham to Kate Middleton wearing them, they scream red carpet glamour.

The only problem? They’re incredibly expensive.

A pair of simple black Louboutin pumps will set you back close to $1,000, and if you’re looking for something with a little more flair, the cost quickly sky-rockets.

These lofty prices may be all right for some, but even the most shoe-obsessed consumers will think twice before forking out that kind of money.

We see this as the perfect opportunity for faking it with a little shoe DIY know-how. The great thing about the Louboutin sole is that it is just that - a sole. As their signature red statement is located mostly out of sight, you can get a little creative without anyone really noticing the difference. After all, the red sole is a subtle touch that flashes on-lookers as you pass by, rather than being the main attraction.
