Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist fans can’t get enough of actor Alex Newell’s hauntingly beautiful voice.

In the latest season 2 episode entitled “Distraction,” Alex’s character, Mo, experiences inner turmoil after Max (Skylar Astin) asks him to formally sign a partnership agreement for their joint project. But this triggers bad memories for Mo, who previously had a falling out with a longtime friend because of a different business venture. After trying to push Zoey (Jane Levy) away again and again, she hears Mo's emotional heart song, Sam Smith’s “Too Good At Goodbyes.”

Moved by the heartfelt song, fans took to social media to applaud the actor, who never fails to impress with his powerful vocals. “@thealexnewell is a GIFT! Could listen to that voice all day 😭😭😭,” one person wrote on Instagram. “It was so sad and emotional 😭😭😭,” another added. "That was breathtaking! Absolutely beautiful! 🧡," a different person said. “@thealexnewell is a soulful, lovely, talented human being,” a follower tweeted.

If Alex looks familiar, that’s because Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist isn’t his first musical comedy. Before playing Mo, he portrayed a transgender teen named Wade “Unique” Adams on Fox’s Glee. The now-28-year-old star rose to fame in 2011 after winning second place on Oxygen’s The Glee Project. In 2016, he released an EP entitled POWER, in addition to collaborating with bands like Clean Bandit and The Knocks. What’s more, Alex has toured with American Idol star Adam Lambert.

We can’t wait to hear another extraordinary song from Alex!
