"Zoey 101" Cast Predicted Their Characters' Futures in Hypothetical Reboot

Are you ready?

Zoey 101 might have ended over a decade ago, but its legacy lives on forever not only among fans but also cast members — and Paul Butcher is the living proof.

Paul, who played Dustin Brooks (a.k.a. Zoey’s annoyingly adorable little brother) on the beloved Nickelodeon series, recently sat down with Seventeen to reminisce about his PCA days and he took the opportunity to share his two cents on the characters' current whereabouts.

Speaking to the magazine, Paul said he had met up with Sean Flynn (who played Chase in the series) over the summer, and they have a pretty solid theory of the scenarios each of the characters would be living right now.

According to the duo (and crushing every fan’s hopes), Zoey and Chase wouldn’t have ended together. Instead, Zoey is now (happily?) divorced and Chase, rather expectedly, still has feelings for her. Secretly, of course, because, honestly, where would Zoey 101 go without Chase’s unrequited love? Despite all the relationship turmoil though, they believe Choey would have still remained best friends.

Logan, on the other hand, has inherited his father’s production company so he’s now in the Hollywood biz. And he’s not alone because, according to Paul and Sean, both Michael and Quinn would be working for him — and, yes, though they’re technically not dating because, ehm, HR, Quogan still lives on.

As for Dustin’s own personal life? The duo believes he would have ended up with Victoria Justice’s Lola. Yup, you read that right. Apparently, both Dustin and Lola would have become “famous singers” and are a power couple atm. I mean, we have to admit they do look good together.

"Did we used to date and are now broken up and it’s fun tension, or are we dating and maybe we break up on the show?" Paul told the magazine about a potential plotline should the series come back. "These [ideas] are literally just us talking. They’re not anything concrete."

But, are they? Jamie Lynn Spears has reportedly been in talks to bring the series back since July and she recently posted a pic of what surely looks like a script to her Instagram.

Following the adorable reunion the cast shared over the summer and JLS’s teasers, PCA enthusiasts have been hoping for any kind of reboot and Paul shared they’re all meeting up again this week. "I’m not going to say exactly what it’s for, but things are definitely happening," he admitted. According to Seventeen, the upcoming reunion “will involve tons of Zoey 101 cast members.”

Now that Netflix and Nickelodeon have recently struck a deal, could we be returning to PCA? We can only hope (and dream)!
