Zoë Kravitz is making a case for oversized menswear—but with an edgy, feminine spin.
This week, the Batman star was seen taking a smoke break in New York City in a cool look consisting of an oversized light blue button-down over a long white T-shirt and denim short shorts.
Kravitz then put her own spin on the streetwear look by trying out one of the biggest shoe trends of the year: loafers with socks. The actress's version included white ankle socks with black leather loafers featuring tassels on the front.
She also carried a black shoulder bag and accessorized with tiny oval sunglasses, gold hoop earrings, and various gold rings. As per usual, Kravitz kept her beauty look natural: She wore no makeup and kept her hair slicked back in a tight bun with two loose strands of hair framing her face.
In an interview with Harper's BAZAAR back in 2018, Kravitz opened up about her approach to dressing. "Humor is a big part of my style. You have to be willing to fall on your face a bit, to be that fashion roadkill. I know so many people who are die-hard fashion people who are way more educated than I am, but I love fashion. It's so much more important than just material," she said.
She also noted that though she has gotten to work with many major fashion houses, including Saint Laurent, she has fun mixing high and low style.
"My boyfriend, Karl, and I went to Party City to get a piñata for my little sister’s 11th birthday party," Kravitz said at the time (she is now dating Channing Tatum). "I got these little sunglasses that I thought were so cute for her, and I was like, 'I'm getting an extra pair for me.' They were literally a dollar. You gotta mix it up, you know?"
