Zendaya is taking over Hollywood with every step she takes and her latest role has fans excited.

Warner Bros. announced that Zendaya will be taking over the role of Lola Bunny in the upcoming Space Jame: A New Legacy. And according to Entertainment Weekly, who broke the news about the casting, this isn’t the only change coming to Lola in the new film.

"We reworked a lot of things, not only her look, like making sure she had an appropriate length on her shorts and was feminine without being objectified, but gave her a real voice," director Malcolm D. Lee said. "For us, it was, let's ground her athletic prowess, her leadership skills, and make her as full a character as the others."

Zendaya can be briefly heard in the new trailer, which was released on the morning of April 3 and has already been viewed over 10 million times on YouTube.

Lola was already considered one of the standouts in the trailer prior to the Zendaya announcement — one particular moment features her recreating the iconic photo of Dwyane Wade and Lebron James during the December 6, 2010 Miami Heat v Milwaukee Bucks game.

Zendaya joins current Warner Bros. voice actors Jeff Bergman (Bugs Bunny, Sylvester, Foghorn Leghorn, and Fred Flintstone), Eric Bauza (Daffy Duck and Marvin the Martian), Bob Bergen (Porky Pig and Tweety), Jim Cummings (Tasmanian Devil), and Candi Milo as Granny. Gabriel Iglesias is taking over Bauza's role of Speedy Gonzales, while Zendaya is stepping into the role after Kath Soucie recently stopped voicing the character back in 2020.
