Zendaya was not able to attend the Golden Globes last night to accept her award, but in a touching Instagram post today, she thanked her costars and fans for having helped her get where she is today.

The actress won Best Television Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Rue in HBO's Euphoria, marking her very first win and nomination for the acclaimed awards ceremony.

"I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to be there tonight, but I just wanted to say thank you to @goldenglobes for this incredible honor," she wrote on Instagram next to a black-and-white still of herself from the show.

"Thank you to my Euphoria family, without you, none of this is possible," she continued. "Lastly, thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has allowed Rue into theirs. I think everyone knows how much she means to me, but the fact that she can mean something to someone else is a gift. I’m honestly at a loss for words as I type this, all I can say is thank you thank you thank you. Goodnight♥️."

Zendaya also praised the other actresses nominated in the category—Emma D'Arcy (House of the Dragon), Laura Linney (Ozark), Imelda Staunton (The Crown), and Hilary Swank (Alaska Daily)—writing: "It is a privilege to be named beside you, I admire you all deeply."

Though Zendaya has not yet publicly explained why she had to skip the awards show, presenter Jay Ellis alluded to her absence while accepting the award on her behalf. "She's busy, she's working, y'all," he said. "It's a good thing."
