Zayn Malik to Design for Versus Versace

Zayn Malik just nabbed himself a new designing gig, signing on with Versus Versace to create a capsule collection. Due to hit stores in May, the range, Zayn X Versus, will offer both men’s and women’s clothes.

Malik is no stranger to the fashion world. Besides being something of a style star, he also has a streetwear line for men and women, so perhaps that same aesthetic will carry over into his efforts for Versus. This morning, Malik announced the partnership on Instagram, sharing a black-and-white photo of him and Donatella Versace. “Thank you @donatella_versace for welcoming me into the @versus_versace family!” he wrote. The singer will also appear in two Versus Versace campaigns next year.

Of course, Malik’s legion of fans are downright giddy about the collab. “I love a couple who rock with style I mean Gigi has a collection with tommy Hilfiger and he’s having a collection with Versace. Man!!” one wrote. “I’m about to be so poor trying to buy this tbh,” another lamented. One person wondered, “will normal people be able to afford this?” Still, we’re sure devoted Zsquad members with a tight budget might still find a way to get their hands on this collection regardless.

As Donatella told the New York Times, proceeds from the collection will be going to charity.  We can’t wait to see what Zayn has up his sleeve for Versus!
