Fresh off the press tour for his latest movie The Greatest Beer Run Ever, Zac Efron is already busy preparing for his next project. The Iron Claw is a saga that follows the real-life Van Erichs, a family who helped to shape the sport of professional wrestling throughout the latter half of the 20th century.

Starring opposite Jeremy Allen White (The Bear) and Lily James (Pam & Tommy), Efron will play world heavyweight champion Kevin Von Erich—a role which required him to pack on some serious mass.

And it looks like he's more than getting there. In a training photo recently tweeted out by Complex, Efron is in amazing shape, rocking some jacked arms and a defined chest on top of the shredded six-pack abs which he keeps as a mainstay.

The last time Efron underwent such a dramatic muscle transformation was for his role in the 2017 comedy Baywatch, a process which he has openly described as, well, less than ideal.

"I started to develop insomnia, and I fell into a pretty bad depression, for a long time," he told Men's Health in his October cover story. "Something about that experience burned me out. I had a really hard time recentering."

"That Baywatch look, I don’t know if that’s really attainable," he elaborated. "There’s just too little water in the skin. Like, it’s fake; it looks CGI’d... And that required Lasix, powerful diuretics, to achieve. So I don’t need to do that. I much prefer to have an extra, you know, 2 to 3 percent body fat."
