You’ve Got to See Amber Rose as Khaleesi of ‘GOT’

Amber Rose is kind of like Game of Thrones’s Daenerys “Khaleesi” Targaryen in that they are both outspoken, strong-willed feminists. And Rose didn’t let any differences — curves, time period, or style — get in the way of her performance on Monday’s episode of Dancing With the Stars.

Challenged with choreographing a number inspired by songs from television, Rose and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy chose to perform the Viennese waltz to the Game of Thrones theme song as they channeled Khaleesi and her husband Khal Drogo. There were no dragons involved, but the pair was on fire — unrelated to torches on the dance floor.

To get into character, Rose donned a blond, braided wig and a flared silver dress that looked very similar to one of Daenerys’s own medieval outfits. Of course, Rose’s version featured a low neckline, ensuring her assets were on display. She completed the look with a pair of leather riding boots similar to Khaleesi’s signature footwear.

It’s safe to say this is a major step away from how Rose normally appears. She typically opts for sky-high stilettos and dresses that hug her curves. However, it’s not that shocking she took on the task, as she’s proved she’s a fan of role play — especially when it involves transforming into strong female figures. For a 2015 spread in Paper Magazine, Rose dressed as Rosie the Riveter, Gloria Steinem, Dorothy Pittman Hughes, and a Pussy Riot member.

The choreography was simple, but communicated the mother of dragons’ complex feelings toward the deceased Dothraki warlord.

While Rose convinced us, she failed to win over the judges and only scored a 24/40.
