It may already be August, but Selena Gomez and BLACKPINK's new song "Ice Cream" may surpass all the other bops for song of the summer. Not only does it have a killer beat, but the lyrics are all about women knowing their worth and picking a partner who knows it too. BLACKPINK fans will notice that the song has much more English in it than their usual tracks and Bekuh BOOM, a rapper and producer who wrote the song with Victoria Monét and Ariana Grande, explained that we should expect more and more English in the group's songs moving forward. She explained that it's "a great opportunity for the girls to show their talent and growth especially in language...In the future, they’re going to continue to keep incorporating more English in their lyrics, where it makes sense."

Let's be honest, it won't be long until you're jamming to "Ice Cream" in the car with all your friends, but, of course, you need to learn the lyrics first. Check out the lyrics below, provided by Genius, along with some commentary from Bekuh on the secret meanings behind some of the best lines.

Come a little closer 'cause you lookin' thirsty
I'ma make it better, sip it like a Slurpee
Snow cone chilly, get it free like Willy (Oh)
In the jeans like Billie, you be poppin' like a wheelie

Bekuh explained that this first verse was inspired by 90s rap icons that "have a comedic element to them or go into character well" like Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, and Ludacris. She said that "snow cone chilly" references jewelry, "being 'coldhearted,' and just having that 'icy cool' demeanor." She also references the 1993 film, Free Willy as well a Michael Jackson's hit song, "Billie Jean."

Even in the sun, you know I keep it icy
You could take a lick, but it's too cold to bite me (Haha)
Brr, brr, frozen, you're the one been chosen
Play the part like Moses, keep it fresh like roses (Oh)

In the line about Moses, Bekuh is saying "I’m gonna need you to top that if you’re my man." She explained, "That is the standard. If you can’t part a sea… then you can’t party with me."

And while "keep it fresh like roses" seems like a pretty straightforward line, Bekuh explained that it also means that her guy should keep things interesting in the relationship. "Don’t get boring, buy me roses, surprise me. All that," she said.

Look so good, yeah, look so sweet (Hey)
Lookin' good, enough to eat

Bekuh wants people "to sing-scream the lyrics while you pretend you’re shooting a music video in your car or bathroom" and I think she succeeded.

Coldest with the kiss, so he call me ice creamCatch me in the fridge, right where the ice be
Look so good, yeah, look so sweet (Hey)
Baby, you deserve a treat
Diamonds on my wrist, so he call me ice cream
You could double-dip 'cause I know you like me

Ice cream chillin', chillin', ice cream chillin'
Ice cream chillin', chillin', ice cream chillin'

I know that my heart can be so cold
But I'm sweet for you, come put me in a cone (In a cone)
You're the only touch, yeah, that get me meltin'
He's my favorite flavor, always gonna pick him
You're the cherry piece, just stay on top of me, so
I can't see nobody else for me, no
Get it, flip it, scoop it, do it like that, oh yeah, oh yeah
Like it, love it, lick it, do it like la-la-la, oh yeah

If these last two lines sound familiar, you've probably been to Cold Stone Creamery lately. Yup, these lyrics are referencing their iconic sizes of "Like It," "Love It," and "Gotta Have It." Bekuh explained they also "'flip it and scoop' candies into the ice cream."

Look so good, yeah, look so sweet (Hey)
Lookin' good, enough to eat
Coldest with the kiss, so he call me ice cream
Catch me in the fridge, right where the ice be
Look so good, yeah, look so sweet (Hey)
Baby, you deserve a treat
Diamonds on my wrist, so he call me ice cream
You could double-dip 'cause I know you like me

Ice cream chillin', chillin', ice cream chillin'
Ice cream chillin', chillin', ice cream chillin'
Ice cream chillin', chillin', ice cream chillin'
Ice cream chillin', chillin', ice cream

Chillin' like a villain, yeah, I ra-ra-ra
미친 미친듯한 속도 in my La Ferra'
너무 빨러 너는 삐끗 원한다면 그냥 지름
Millis, billis 매일 벌음 한여름 손목에 얼음
Keep it movin' like my lease up
Think you fly, boy, where your visa?
Mona Lisa kinda Lisa
Needs an ice cream man that treats her
Keep it movin' like my lease up
Think you fly, boy, where your visa?
Mona Lisa kinda Lisa
Needs an ice cream man that treats her (Hey)

Since Lisa is the one rapping this verse, Bekuh was so excited about the Mona Lisa line. "I think it speaks specifically to her originality and uniqueness but also as a fan singing it to yourself just feeling like you are a work of art and need a man that sees that and treats you that way," she explained. "Even if your name isn’t Lisa you are your own Mona Lisa. There will never be another. I think it’s important women view themselves in that way."

Na, na-na-na-na
Na, na-na-na-na (Hey)
Ice on my wrist, yeah, I like it like this
Get the bag with the cream
If you know what I mean
Ice cream, ice cream, ice cream chillin'
Na, na-na-na-na
Na, na-na-na-na (Hey)
Ice on my wrist, yeah, I like it like this
And I'm nice with the cream
If you know what I mean
Ice cream, ice cream
Ice cream
