Nico Tortorella and Bethany C. Meyers also detailed the significant meaning behind the newborn's name.

Nico Tortorella and Bethany C. Meyers are celebrating the birth of their first child following a lengthy fertility journey.

The 34-year-old actor and the 35-year-old fitness guru—who identify as non-binary and use they/them pronouns–both shared a first glimpse at their rainbow baby in their respective Instagram posts shared on Monday, March 13.

“IП ᄂӨVΣ ЩIƬΉ ƬΉΣ DӨVΣ,” the Younger alum began in their caption before revealing their daughter’s name: “introducing Kilmer Dove Meyers Tortorella. welcome to earth little one.”

In the heartwarming slideshow of shots, shared to both of their accounts, Tortorella can be seen cozying up to their adorable little family amid a lace trimmed white tent surrounded by house plants, which marks their daughter’s birthplace.

Meyers kicked off their post before revealing the beautiful significance of the name.

"Kilmer is my grandfather's last name, my mother's maiden. Dove because Tortorella means 'turtle dove' and throughout our infertility journey she's been coming to us through birds. Doves for days," they wrote.

They then elaborated on the the importance of the number 39 for the couple, “For those of you who have followed along and know the significance of the number 39 for Nico, myself and baby (scroll back a few posts) She was born at 39 weeks + 3 days, at 9:39 pm…can’t make this up! “

Meyers detailed the birth, calling it a “beautiful, intense, raw, emotional, fast, safe, and healthy homebirth.”

“She was in fact born in the tent, surrounded by a circle of mothers (our immaculate care team), the spirits of ancestors past and future be.comings,” they wrote.

"Last photo is the moment she was born, the 'catch,'" referring to a photo that gave fans a glimpse of the babes earthside arrival, as a hand—presumably Meyers’—cupped the baby’s bottom and pulled her into a close embrace.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond actor and Meyers, who tied the knot in 2018, first announced that they were expecting in March 2023 with a sweet Instagram shot.

"the baby. coming 3.9 @bethanycmeyers i love you. 🕊," Tortorella wrote alongside a series of adorable photos that included a snap of them kissing Meyers' baby bump.

The couple also told People that they tried to conceive for "almost two years,” with Meyers, the founder of the be.come project, previously hinting at the difficult fertility journey the couple have endured while trying to start a family.

"There is so much to tell you about this unexpected story of how we finally conceived, but today I just want to sit in the excitement of getting to share our news with all of you," Meyers wrote at the time. "Our 🌈 baby is in my belly,” adding, “About a year ago, a fellow infertility warrior who finally had their rainbow baby told me this - 'it sucks until one day it doesn’t' and they were right.”

Congrats to the new family!
