If you're looking for a Yellowstone fan, you can probably find them saddled up as they ride through a stampede of updates from the neo-Western drama. With season 5 set to air on November 13, and an abundance of prequels in the works (1923 starring Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford, 1883, and 6666), it can be hard to keep track of everything going on in the Yellowstone universe. And it just got a little harder!

Here's the latest: There's been some chatter about an old villain who may reappear in season 5. If you think back to season 2 of the show, you may remember Malcolm Beck, the head of the Montana Liquor Board and the primary antagonist at the time. Or you might better remember him as the guy who crossed the line with John Dutton just far enough to get himself killed...or should we say "killed?"

Neal McDonough, who played Beck back in season 2, stirred the pot for fans in a recent interview with TV Line. When asked about his character's death, he had a very interesting response.

"Did I die? Did I? I’m not so sure about that," he said. "We have talked about the fact we didn’t actually see Malcolm Beck’s eyes close. There is always that possibility. My brother won’t be coming back for sure, but there is a possibility."

Well, that certainly makes us think! It wouldn't be off-brand for Taylor Sheridan, the creator of the Yellowstone universe, to shock fans in this way. The show has endless twists and turns, and we're still recovering from that kicker in season 4. 😭

As of right now, we don't really know what to expect. But you can trust that we'll update you as soon as we find out more about Malcolm Beck's potential return!
