There's a rumored Hollywood romance already sending fans into a frenzy.

Pete Davidson and Miley Cyrus have sparked dating rumors while promoting their upcoming NBC New Year’s Eve special called Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party Hosted By Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson. When Miley made the December 9th announcement about the special on her Instagram, she posted a picture with her arms wrapped around the smiling comedian. Miley captioned their photo: "BIG DEBUT ENERGY 🍾 Pete & I are official! CO-HOSTS that is! Watch @fallontonight 🗽Our first show together as a pair! We’ll be talking about #MileysNewYearsEvePartyhosted by US in Miami!"

Since the announcement was made, rumors have been circulating around the internet about them possibly dating. The comments section was filled with fans excited about their new hosting gig and curious about their relationship status. One fan commented: "Their personalities compliment [sic.] each other! I want to see more of them together!😍." Another wrote, "I ship these two together 🙌."

Are Pete Davidson and Miley Cyrus dating?

Though some fans would love to see the two together, there is one problem: Even though Miley is believed to be single at the moment, Pete appears to be dating reality television star Kim Kardashian West.

After Miley made their hosting debut announcement, the two were guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to discuss their New Year's Eve celebration in Miami. While promoting their upcoming special, Miley performed a cover of Yvonne Fair's "It Should Have Been Me." Miley's hilarious cover of the song was dedicated to Pete, and she changed the lyrics to poke fun at his romance with Kim.

Miley sang: "Pete Davidson, how are you gonna do this to me? Oh yeah, it should've been me in that Lamborghini leaving that nice a-- restaurant. I'm going to watch a movie in freaking Staten Island." The lyric change was in reference to a recent date Pete had with Kim in his hometown of Staten Island.

Fans might be disappointed to hear that the cohosts aren't dating, but they should be excited that their friendship is going strong and that their hosting debut looks promising.
