Despite exiting early from two of the last three games due to “core pain,” New York Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres will not be placed on the injured list.

Torres is considered day to day, according to reports from Baltimore.

Torres underwent another series of tests in New York, but they came back negative.

The Yankees brought Thairo Estrada to Baltimore just in case Torres needed to be shelved.

Torres, 22, has gone hitless in seven at-bats since the issue first popped up on Sunday. The Yankees entered action Wednesday with a 9.5-game lead in the AL East.

There were more injury updates as well.

Also, catcher Gary Sanchez (groin) will play seven innings in his first minor-league rehab game on Wednesday night for Triple-A Scranton. Sanchez will also play for the RailRiders on Thursday before rejoining the Yankees over the weekend in Toronto, assuming everything goes according to plan.
