You can probably count the number of times Rodarte has been worn to the Kid's Choice Awards on one hand; in fact, you only really need one finger. The youths of Hollywood tend to avoid fancy dress for fear that they will end the night covered in slime. So instead of couture, we get short hemlines and sparkly midriff-baring tops. But on Saturday night, Yalitza Aparicio wore a silver-and-red hand-beaded Rodarte gown to the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids's Choice Awards Mexico in Mexico City, proving she hasn't lost any of her awards season flare and that she looks like a dream every time she wears something by Kate and Laura Mulleavy.

The "Roma" star wore a princess-like Rodarte number to the Academy Awards back in February when she was nominated for Best Actress. And while the gown felt much more at home among the sea of tulle and crystals at the Oscars than it did among the crowd of denim-clad teens, Aparicio still managed to stand out. The radiant crimson dress she wore over the weekend was no different: The embellishments channelled the event's playful vibe, and the craftsmanship and overall ethereal look of the dress made for a head-turning ensemble. Her stylist Sophie Lopez, who has helped transform the 25-year-old into a red carpet maven, paired the ground-skimming frock with pointed-toe Christian Louboutin stilettos.

At the ceremony, the 25-year-old received the "Nickelodeon Pro Social" award: an honor that recognizes celebrities or non-profit organizations for inspiring kids or making a positive impact on their communities. So, if Aparicio was overdressed, she had every right to be.
