As the Xavier Musketeers prepared for their NCAA tournament Sweet 16 loss to Texas, Jimmy Fallon was poking fun at one of XU's mascots during his "Tonight Show" monologue Thursday night.

"Let's see what some of the (Sweet 16) teams' mascots had to say about the tournament," Fallon said. "First up, the Princeton Tiger said, 'We might be underdogs but we're going all the way!' Next up, the Houston Cougar said, 'We're gonna show the whole world why we're No. 1!' Then the Xavier (Blue) Blob said, 'I don't know what I am. My life is very difficult. … I'm the only giant fuzzy blob I know. I'll never find love. I guess I'm just meant to be alone.'"

Fallon joked that Western Kentucky's mascot, "Big Red," could commiserate with the Blue Blob, and joked that Grimace from McDonald's was the offspring of the two mascots. WKU did not earn an NCAA tournament bid.
