TEAMING UP: Negri Firman PR & Communication has merged with WSM, a long-term partner and provider of digital services.

With the merger in place, there are 15 WSM employees working in Milan and 20 Negri Firman staffers in New York. Silvia Negri Firman is the creative director and Novella Paghera is overseeing the U.S. operations from New York.

Founded in 2017 by industry veteran Leonardo Guagenti, who continues as chief executive officer, WSM specializes in digital services for public relations companies and e-commerce agencies, among others. WSM and Negri Firman worked together in that capacity before deciding to join forces.

One reason for the union is to help ramp-up digital services for clients. Funnel management, lead generation, mail automation, webinars and social media management are among the services.

Twelve years ago, Silvia Negri Firman started Negri Firman PR & Communication in Milan. She opened a New York office in 2012. Vice president Novella Paghera is overseeing the merger and operations in the New York office.

The deal is a joint venture, and the financial terms are not being disclosed at this time, according to Paghera.

The pandemic has caused many public relations agencies to focus more on the digital sides of their businesses. There has also been more consolidation in the p.r. sector with several smaller firms in New York relocating to smaller or shared offices to reduce overhead expenses, and in some cases, to work-from-home offices.
