Would You Wear Pigtails to Your Wedding?

It’s October and we’re well past festival season, but if you thought we saw the last of flower crowns until the next Coachella, think again because Naeem Khan showed a collection full of ‘em for his Fall 2016 Bridal collection. Now, blooms and buds might not be what comes to mind when you think of the fall season, but that didn’t stop the fashion house from outfitting their models in intricate, Frida Kahlo-esque headgear for the occasion.

We also couldn’t help but notice Kahn’s models sporting pigtails under all those flowers during his Latin-inspired showing. Pigtails don’t necessarily scream “bridal” to us. But for the bride-to-be who wants to harken back to the days when she was just a wee lass, planning her wedding via rounds of M*A*S*H, perhaps the look could serve as a throwback to simpler times.

Or, maybe the real lesson here is you can make anything bridal by sticking a gorgeous, elaborate flower crown on it.
