Women watch more porn than men, and other steamy stats from a new Pornhub survey
According to a recent New York report on a decade worth of Pornhub data, women are actually watching more porn then men, in terms of how much time they spend on the site. Overall women spend 1:15 minutes longer per visit on the site than men do. And what are women watching? Well, it’s not what people seem to think women watch. The kind of porn you prefer is very personal, and often has to be just right to do the trick, sort of like how you like your coffee. Although there has been a recent trend in more “romantic” porn to cater towards women, who are thought to prefer more of a narrative to get off, the data shows that women are not into the romantic stuff.
So what are women into when it comes to porn?
T most popular search terms among women between 2014 and 2015 were all about men performing oral sex on women, large penises, and hard sex that included “screaming.” Not that those things can’t be romantic, but when you break it down into search terms, women seem to be into porn that gets straight to the point.
In the United States, women make up 25 percent of all of Pornhub’s traffic and 70 percent of comes from smartphones. The highest traffic in the U.S. for females comes from Mississippi, Georgia, and South Carolina.
Other women watching porn are searching for “female friendly” videos.
And that’s not all we learned…
Other popular porn search terms in the U.S.: “bondage” in Pennsylvania and Ohio; “ebony” in most of the South, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York; and “female friendly” in the Northeast. In California, women are searching for “huge” breasts and in Alaska, porn viewers are into “big” penises. Women are also searching for “lesbian scissoring” and “lesbian seducing straight girl,” too.
In addition to all of those keywords, pregnancy porn is also a popular search term among women — they look for it 27 percent more than men do.
Women aged 25-34 are more likely to look for porn, and it’s most popular in the Dakotas and Nebraska, while in Hawaii, California, and Nevada, no one seems to search for it. So what are women looking for in pregnancy porn? “Get me pregnant,” “pregnant gangbang,” and “pregnant teen anal” are the keywords getting women off.
All of this is good news, since it means that women are taking the time to love themselves (the most popular times are between 3 -5 p.m. and after midnight, by the way) and checking out the kind of sex they want to see.
