Women Are Dialing 911 to Reach Police Officers from Viral Photo

From Woman's Day

While Hurricane Irma has devastated parts of Florida, one good thing has come from the storm: a photo of three Gainesville, FL, police officers has gone viral with more than 230,000 shares.

The photo was originally posted on Sunday explaining that Officers Nordman, Hamill, and Rengering were "getting ready to do some work" in regard to Hurricane Irma.

Since the original photo was posted, the Gainesville Police Department had to update the post after 150,000 commenters asked about the men's relationship status. Many even requested the department produce a calendar featuring the officers.

And surprisingly the department appreciated the support and gave a hilarious update:

1. We are dying with the comments. You've actually made our chief blush with some of them.2. MRS. Nordman and MRS. Hamill have also enjoyed knowing how millions of women are going crazy over their husbands.3. We can confirm that Officer Rengering (far right with the amazing hair) IS SINGLE.4. On another note, Officer Rengering is being placed into Cougar Prey Protective Care, similar to the witness protection program for his safety.5. Please do not call 9-1-1 and request this group respond to your "incident"6. There WILL be a calendar. Thank you all for the hilarious comments...they have brightened our time up here. As for the calendar, we are going to try and do something fairly quickly and funds raised will go to Hurricane Irma recovery here in Florida.

While two of the officers are taken, the good news is that one of them is still single.

After some commenters said things like, "Do a calendar, add puppies, and I'm pretty sure we can rebuild Texas and Florida," the Gainesville Police plan to make a calendar to sell so that the proceeds benefit Hurricane Irma recovery efforts.

It's all thanks to one viral photo of some good-looking police officers!
