This Woman Wants People to Know That Transformation Photos Only Show Half the Battle of Weight Loss Chandler Sosebee, who lost 85 lbs over two years, says those before and after pics don't always capture the a person's entire weight-loss journey. In a candid Instagram post, she shared how a "photo doesn't even begin to cover" what it took for her to get to where she is today. When Sosebee began her fitness journey, her goal was to "look skinny." Even after hitting the "goal size" she set, she still felt unhappy. "I hated looking at myself in the mirror and I really missed my curves," Sosebee said. She reassessed her fitness journey with a new goal in mind: strength. She soon discovered that her diet was seriously lacking protein. So, she started unlearning her approach to food and adjusted her workouts. She also started prioritizing how she felt versus how she looked. "I could tell I was getting stronger and healthier and, as I continued, the physique I had truly wanted—a toned lean look—naturally followed." The next time you see a transformation photo, try to appreciate what went on behind the scenes.
