This Woman’s Reaction to Being in the Same Room as Beyoncé and Jay-Z Is All of Us
On Saturday, Beyoncé and Jay-Z attended the 2018 Pre-Grammy Gala, where Jay-Z looked incredibly dapper in a dark gray suit. Meanwhile, Beyoncé upstaged the whole world with a black beret and an asymmetrical outfit that was more sculpture than gown. While that is reason alone to cause an Internet-wide freak-out, one picture in particular—Instagrammed by Queen Bey herself—has everyone collectively laughing.
The photo in question is the fourth one in her date night album. A photographer caught her and Jay-Z unaware, smiling nonchalantly as they wait for an elevator in a hotel hallway. In the corner, a woman can be seen staring at Beyoncé in rapturous awe, her jaw literally wide open. Naturally, Twitter immediately flooded with reactions to said reaction. The general consensus seems to be that this photographic masterpiece fully captures the reaction of every human being on earth should they find themselves in the presence of Beyoncé. Obviously, we completely agree. This unknown woman is, indeed, extremely us.
We imagine there were similar reactions tonight at the 2018 Grammys; Beyoncé and Jay-Z were in attendance due to their nomination for Best Rap/Song Collaboration for "Family Feud." (The honor was, instead, awarded to Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar for “LOYALTY.”) Nevertheless, Beyoncé's proven once again that she doesn’t even have to win an awards show to be number one in our hearts.
