Woman named 'Kidz Bop Karen' ignites the internet with bizarre rage road rant

Every person takes to road rage differently: Some respond with a blast of the horn, others with the flick of a finger. Some, like this woman, answer in a way that leaves the receiver, as well as the internet, in an incredibly bewildered (albeit amused) state.

A woman was recently captured on camera verbally attacking a Lyft driver and his passenger, Chelsea Klein, on New York City's West Side Highway. The unidentified woman, who claims the driver cut her off, has become the latest target of social media after Klein's video racked up millions of views since its posting on Nov 1. The internet did not waste any time nicknaming her "Kidz Bop Karen."

"I honestly started filming because I was scared she was going to jump in the car," Klein said to NBC News, explaining that "Kidz Bop Karen" approached her car while stopped at a red light. "The look in her eyes was scary and road rage is kind of scary. I was scared for sure."

In Klein's video, the woman sticks her head in the passenger's seat window, while staring wide-eyed at the driver and Klein. At one point, she can be seen sticking her tongue out and pawing at the air.

The Lyft driver attempted to diffuse the situation by taking the blame for the incident. "I'm really sorry. It's my fault," the driver said to the woman, who looks into the camera and responding derisively "She thinks it's cute that her driver almost hit my kids."

Klein asks her if "stopping in the middle of the road" is going to help the situation. "You being a b**** is gonna help?" Karen responds, "The b****-a** h** that told me to calm down...what I'd like you to do is apologize instead of being a b****."

While attempting to apologize to the woman, Klein calls her out on the vulgar language, adding that her children can likely hear her through the open window. "They can't hear me because they're listening to Kidz Bop," she responded.

Once the light turned green, the angry woman returned to her car, but not before telling her that her "attitude sucks d***."

"This was out of a movie," Klein continued to NBC. "I just want to know why she was so angry and why she had to attack me."

While the woman has not been identified publicly, TMZ was told that she wants to apologize to the driver and that the worse part of the incident is that she's being labeled a republican.

Of course, Twitter had a lot to say about the now-viral video and has turned Kidz Bop Karen into one of the year's biggest memes, with one even comparing her to Jack Nicholson from "The Shining."
