Authorities arrested and charged a woman with multiple felonies, including felony drug charges, following a low-speed chase that ended when police rear ended and flipped over her car.

Law enforcement from New Hanover County Sheriff's Office, Wilmington Police Department and the FBI Safe Streets Task force arrested Keyanna McMillian shortly after 2 p.m. Monday as officers were investigating possible drug activity, according to a press release.

Officers attempted a traffic stop when McMillian failed to stop and struck a task force vehicle, the release states, before leading authorities on a low speed chase that lasted for "a couple of miles."

Police say McMillan then stopped hard on Plum Nearly Lane, causing a task force member to rear end the vehicle and flip it over.

McMillian was arrested on suspicion of multiple felony drug charges and given no bond, according to the release. New Hanover County arrest records show McMillian was also charged with assault with a deadly weapon on a government official.
